I found this story enjoyable and the characters well written. I like Ms. Atkinson's stories as they also give insight into life in small-town America in the early 20th century. I am looking forward to the next instalment in this series.

This is another sweet, clean Western romance from Ms Atkinson that provides a nice escape. Natty Montgomery begins to see her friend Frankie Nye in a new light... and then the storm hits! Here, we have wonderful characters and an exciting story. We have strangers who only want an easy way to earn a living - heaven forbid that they actually have to WORK for it!
With all the different characters thrown together during a storm, who knows what will happen! Read this story to find out more!

Natty and Frankie have been childhood friends in their hometown of Ely. After being such good friends, their feelings take a sudden turn. Frankie is known around Ely for his natural talent with horses. Natty also has a secret talent. She knows how to understand the weather and her feeling is that a big storm is coming with bad floods. Clay and his group work for Walt and Marge Cooke. Marge was a very unhappy person who felt that what others had, she was entitled to have. Marge was a mean and hateful person. When rains and floods came, Natty and Frankie were caught in the resulting disaster. This story tells how Natty and Frankie get home only to have another disaster awaiting them, the Cooke’s and their ranch hands. The disaster turns into something no one expects. Great book! - The Gifted Bride for the Horse Whisperer by Elliee Atkinson has everything you could want in a story – romance, intrigue, danger and the unexpected! When an outlaw falls for a picture and then has the opportunity to kidnap her from the man she loves there comes an adventure that you wouldn’t want to miss. Will the man she loves come to claim her back or will the outlaw win her love? This is a story I enjoyed reading from the first page to the last. It kept me wondering what will happen. I recommend this book to anyone and especially to those that have been reading the Fortune in Ely Series!
- This is another tale from the little town of Ely and follows Frankie and Natalie’s story. Frankie is gifted with horses and appears to be able to understand them. Natalie also has a gift for sensing bad weather or events. Natty finds she feels more for Frankie than just the friendship of her friends’ brother. When a terrible storm hits Ely and some strangers arrive in the middle of the night during the storm Natty and Frankie realise their feelings are much more than friendship.
I received this book as a free copy and my review is voluntarily given. - Really enjoyed this story, it has great characters and a storyline that is well written and developed. It has action, adventure, love, faith, family and redemption. We are reintroduced to Frankie and Natty who have been friends all their lives, but something change and they realize that want more than friendship. While out one day they get caught in a flood and later she is kidnapped but he comes to her rescue. This a great series and waiting on the next story. Recieved an advanced reader copy from the author and voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
- I think I have read all of the books in this series and this one is no disappointment! Each one is a stand alone and I like how there is always a bit of a tie in to some of the other characters from Ely. Elliee always does a great job of introducing and developing the characters in her stories. You feel like you can picture them and know them when you see them if such a thing was possible. This story is about Natty Montgomery and Frankie Nye. A well written and good story line book! A good clean read with adventures, action, and a twist or 2!
